Gangetic Dolphin (Platanista Gangetica) known as the India's National Aquatic Animal, this animal is one of the four freshwater dolphins species in the world. Born completely blind, they navigate and hunt using echolocation. In inhabits the Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna and Karnaphuli-Sangu river systems of Nepal, Indian and Bangladesh.
Unusual for dolphins, they also display sexual dimorphism, with females generally being larger and having a straighter upturned snout compared to a bulbous snout and larger protruding teeth in males.
